I like it that Game Quality comes first, Then a release date :) It’s a good thing Alan wake is not to be rushed and be “polished” very well untill its as good as it can get.

To be honest i will not mention any names but i cant say that about some game-companies anymore.

Alot of them nowadays purely go for Graphics Quality or Sound Quality, Rushing for a deadline to have a release-date. Sometimes because some new console or graphics/sound card is introduced.

But they forget Game/Gameplay/Coding Quality, Then you get alot of bugs and glitches which also destroys gameplay.

In the past (Back in the Sega / Commodore Amiga days). Games were not so eye-candy, but the gameplay was much more addicting then it is nowadays.

So for Alan Wake, dont rush it. Take your time and hopefully when Remedy/MS Game Studios think its perfect then i want to play it :)

Alan Wake for VISTA only!!??!!??!!

We’re big time gamers in my home. I build high end gaming machines and buy multiple copies of each game we play so we can install them on several machines on our home LAN setup. Almost every gamer will tell you they HATE the Vista OS and don’t/won’t run it. I loved playing Max Payne 1 & 2, and was looking forward to Alan Wake. If it finally does come out for VISTA only, I certainly won’t be buying it. Please reconsider…

If they dont start making games optimized for Vista it will never become the gaming platform you want. They have to start somewhere. Why in the world would they not use DX10. Crysis on ‘Med.’ in DX10 look better than on ‘High’ in DX9.

Anyway, a release date isn’t so necessary, but knowing the gmaes is still alive would be nice. Nothing new has come out about this game in like 2 years.

New info has come out within the past year, and there has also been multiple confirmations that the game is doing well and is alive.

Rest assured :)
