Gameplay Designer, Senior Environment Artist, Environment Artist, Programmer, Freelance Game Writer. Any of those sound like something you are capable and of course interested in? Want to help develop Alan Wake into a kickass game? Well here’s your chance.

Remedy Entertainment are looking to fill the above positions and best of all you don’t have to have worked on a AAA title before like so many other game development companies look for. In fact a few of the current Remedy employees had their first start developing some of your favourite mods for the Max Payne games.

So head over here and apply already!

Does this means they need more people than they originally planned to finish the game ?
Sounds it won’t be released in a period of time anyway …

No, it just means there are possible vacancies for new talent. It could be that Remedy needs to replace someone, fill a new role that has been created or simply need some different thinking.
Microsoft has the ability to provide plenty of development power where it is needed, so it is not the case that Remedy is short staffed.

Well this is interesting. I thought Remedy was against heiring new blood or just not extremely experienced people. I remember reading in many articles how remedy said that it was best to have a small team of very experienced and talented people over a large team with inexperience. What’s the deal? Did they change their views on this or something? I wonder why.

Well it’s not like these guys don’t have experience, they are still VERY tough on who they hire. They also still have a very small team compared to other developers.

this is a bad idea.
the people have no experience.
they could make Alan wake a bad game because of them having no experience very very bad idea.
cant wait for this game thou.

As with any gaming company, new recuits with hardly any experience get Junior positions where majority of their work is approved by the Lead designer before being accepted into a part of the game.

I would also add that Remedy, like Valve, prefer hiring people from the mod community. Successful mod designers have far more experience than a fresh recruit with a game designing degree. We have already had one forumer on the Alan Wake boards who submitted an application and now works for Remedy.

Oh Boy. Hold on Remedy, I’m coming. I wish I started game design instead of music production about 3 years ago. I know I would be capable of being a more-than-decent team player. I’m now starting game design, but I can assure you, when I am ready, I’ll be coming…and I will be accepted…failure is absolutely no option!!!!
