Remedy speaks!

Mika Reini, CFO at Remedy Games, has posted a short, but sweet statement declaring that our long-awaited game, Alan Wake, is still on the way.

Dear people,

We feel we owe you all a small heads up, and our apologies for lack of updates. This is just part of our psychological thriller, is it all real or imagined…
Seriously, yes, we’re still here and working hard on getting Alan Wake for you to enjoy. Sure, we’ve been in development for a long time and if everything had gone perfectly smoothly there probably would be a game out for you guys to play already. But designing a completely new game can be hard, and sometimes you need to take a detour to find the best route forward.

We want to entertain you guys in the best possible way and our team is putting in every effort possible in order for that to happen. That is the way Remedy wants to do things. I’m sure you will enjoy Alan Wake when we’re done.

Just follow the light…

- Mika

Well…It can’t be a good thing not showing at least one new screenshot during such a long time. Remedy needs to keep in touch with there community, keep them excited. Even if the situation is as it is. I’m sure Alan Wake will come out and be a great game and it will be a huge seller. But giving fans a more enjoyable wait wouldn’t hurt.

At least we get an apologie.. Every blogger is more upset its took so long for updates… We Still expect a good game that fullfills everyones expection. I personally want it to have the best graphics I have ever seen on xbox360. and give me a Great story line. and Effectes that never been featured on any other game in history (Twister, Motion effects, Rain, detailed graphics.) Cause nothing else chills me out more then ghosts and rain and tornado effects.. and dark sppoky night with silent hill fetures! Its just what i expect man!!!

Thank you so, so much for the updates, people from Remedy. :) I had been hearing a lot of ‘Alan Wake is never coming’, ‘This game is cancelled’, etc., and was starting to believe it.

But maybe, just to keep your die-hard fans from straying away or losing faith, you could offer some kind of monthly updates? For example, release one new screenshot on the first of each month or something of the like? They wouldn’t need to be revealing shots or anything- just something new to see how our Mr. Wake is fairing? Heck, I’d even get excited if you just gave us a picture of an in-game, digitally mastered tree. xD

Nevertheless, I’ll still be waiting (somewhat suffering) for a release date so I can pre-order. Don’t you lot turn into insomniacs while you’re hard at work, now!

From what ive seen, the screens alone is taking the crown from the halo series never liked them, tried to play trough the first two but gave up out of boredom. grew up I guess. Dont know how to explain it else, it just got repetetive and boring, story ma ass, graphics has been better done when they desided to let them free on the computer. Rather play Megaman 1 again than halo 1 so to speak…

Give us a “heads up”. For what and for how long do you want us to keep our heads up for. It’s been a month and my neck is aching. Go on… just a screen shot… just one little tiny screenshot. What harm could it do??
